My Toe Is Rotten!

one of my friends is opening a roleplay sim and she has this really insane looking pig-man avatar that we send out randomly to scare people. well i decided to check out the store she got that thing from and i was delightfully suprised to find some really awesome clothes, at some truely insane prices!

Rotten toe makes my favourite kind of clothes, creepy, dolly, goth, trashy, etc. so i bought and bought and bought. here’s a couple of the outfits i put together using their stuff.

these are the "bibfever" overalls in dead soul. they come with the awesome ripped up red tights in two versions. with an underwear layer to make them full tights, or as a stockings version. there’s also a scarf and an alternate skirt prim, as well as an undershirt which i opted not to wear. in its place i am wearing an old bikini top from artilleri.

this second outfit is a bit more gothy, using the infected black satin shirt, which is really awesome for its low price. it has a ruffly prim tail and prim collar, and comes in all layers. the formal ringmaster pants are also by rotten toe, and come in all layers and also include a notecard that give you some ideas on how to mod the pants and wear them differently. i’m wearing the underwear layer here to tuck them into these awesome boots from VDI.

Hair Fair Haul part 2

sorry it took me so long to get back to this! here’s the next part of my hair fair haul. this time we’re looking at the odd hair that i bought. i could of course wear these as every day hairs but they are more stylized for costume looks.

the first hair is emery by calico ingmann, she originally handed me this is a few colours as part of a blogger pack but i loved it so i got it in my typical hair colour. its great for those sorceress looks.

next we have HoM’s Ballz 2 the Wallz which has an awesome optional mohawk that you can turn off via the hair’s menu. i love HoM’s hair because you get one hair that comes scripted with all the colours in the pack you choose, you just click, choose a colour, and bam, you’re done! less clutter in my inventory 😀 i love it. her styles are always very funky and look great with punk looks.

this was definitely my hair of the hair fair. i love falls in real life, but they are just impractical and expensive in the real world, so finding some here was awesome! these are the foam falls in green by NDN. great for techie looks or even just an industrial goth party.

the last hair was another definitely happy find. i had been fussing at myself to buy some hair like this for my kimonos but i just never got around to looking. well philotic energy helped me out in that department with this amazing hair called ishiko! its the bones that really sold it for me. making this a more sinister twist to the elegant geisha.

the hair fair still has a few days left! so run out and buy stuff! the lag is starting to die down finally so it should be easier to see and walk 😀

Hair Fair Haul part 1

so another hair fair is already half over, and i have been so lazy to blog about it! but no more lazyness.. today i’m gonna show off the more casual styles that i picked up this year. and then in another post, i’ll show off the crazy stuff ;D

pig tails.. i always end up with 8923749285629347 pigtails when i go hair shopping. its insane and i’m not sure why i am so hooked on them. anyway this hair is called “esme” and it’s by truth. i love the little wavy tails, they remind me of my real hair when i put it in pigtails. i also love how it’s loose and has little wispy messy pieces just hanging around. truth’s newer hair is very flexy, and has a very soft look to it. its very tough to photograph but its beautiful.

the second hair i picked, yup, more pigtails. this hair is called kasia and its from Kin which is one of my favourite hair stores of all time. this hair is non flexi, and while it may seem a bit stiff, it is still really cute. i love the little curl to the bangs on either side.

last hair for the blog today is from find ash. this is once again not flexi, but it is very cute, and works for both dressy looks and casual. the only thing i did not like about this hair, is that it was very small on my head. the demo was not as small and fit me pretty well with just a little scalp peeking out, but the one i ended up with had alot of bald spots and prims sticking though my ears. so be warned, if you are not good at prim resizing and modding, you might want to think twice about this hair.

Nimil’s Hair Fair Report part 1

i had a wonderful time at the hair fair preview thing! even though a few booths were still empty or half open i was able to grab most of the stuff i wanted on preview day!

this year’s hair fair was themed after candy land, and i was dying of sugar shock at every turn. giant cup cakes! candy! and of course hair (now thinking about it.. getting candy in your hair or hair in your candy is kinda gross)

there were some great booths, and some interesting hair this year, and of course there was lag… even though they asked us to keep the arc down i saw plenty of people there in friggin ball gowns and arc’s well over 2k. i myself chose a very low arc outfit, no shoes, and hair from etd which kept me in the green and somewhere around 400 i think.

congrats to this year’s flickr contest winners! i was lazy and didn’t enter this year (oops) but i was very blown away with those who did! everyone should go check them out!

i know i showed up in different hair but my friend autumn gave me her awesome new hair called gattina and i decided i had to wear it for the rest of the day! it worked well with my outfit as well!

there was alot of great crazy hair at the hair fair, here’s a couple that i didn’t actually buy but i did admire alot.

this one is by curio obscura (i hope i got that right, i’m  not on sl at the moment to check!) and it’s called “let them eat cake off of your head” and it features some crazy doll hair style curls and mountains of cake 😮 perfect for the hair fair theme this year! just please don’t wear it at the hair fair please!

this one is by toast bard and i am stupid and forgot to note down the name of it but it made me laugh since you could pretty much call yourself a pot head when you wear it :p. i might actually go back and get this one.

while roaming around, i bumped into the owner of calico creations and she tossed me a blogger pack of hair 😀 she was actually the only hair designer at the preview who actually did that, and i will be blogging that in another post later on! she is also wearing a cute style that i ended up buying a black pack of because i can never have too many pig tails. anyway i wanted to take a photo of her because she was very nice 🙂

the hair at house of munster is awesome and really fits my punk/goth moods. i will be going back for more of her hair fair hair because she didn’t have the black pack vendor set out for one of the hairs i wanted, but i did grab another from her booth that i will have in my hair fair haul blog later on.

tonight’s look of the night was inspired not by a piece of clothing, but by this adorable poco pal that was sent to me by damien fate. yes i did just blog about loco pocos a couple of posts ago but i’m gonna pimp them again because they are awesome.

poco pals is a new release from the loco pocos brand that lets you enjoy the loco pocos in your human avvie! they are slowly releasing all the animals that are available for avvies but these are plushies of them! your pal is scripted with plenty of options. 4 hold animations, a wide variety of clothing that you can also change the colour of. the ability to change their fur colour, eye colour, choose between male and female, and much more. i of course had to have the rat, and she is wearing the long sleeve hoodie in green :p

so what better way to show off a plushie than to wear some pj’s? this was actually my outfit from the hairfair 08 pj party that i got to go to for winning honorable mention in the photo contest, and i think it is adorable.

these duck nipple space invader undies are pretty old so i am not sure if they are still available for purchase but they are awesome so if they are still around go grab them! i’m also wearing my favourite bunny slippers from my favourite store (lol) LuNi Designs. these slippers come in both dead and not dead but i always love to wear the dead ones because they have blood splatter trails when you walk (not to mention i did have a hand in making them.. me biased? oh no..)

tonight’s look shows off my favourite part of my avatar… my butt :p

yes you’ve probably realized that i suck as a blogger and go for long periods of time without any posts. i hope those of you who actually read this will forgive me for that and will keep reading! or you can always bug me personally to post, that works too.

you might also notice that OMG NIMIL LOOKS LIKE SHE GOT SOME SUN!? well yes i do own more than one tone of skin, and this skin happens to show off my butt really nicely so i figured it would go perfect with this outfit 😀

i bought these pants from sassy kitty on a whim because they were snake pants and i love snake skin stuff. they are SERIOUSLY LOW, and also come with a version that shows off your thong if you are too shy to show some buttcrack.

now alot of people might fug these pants but i like them in small doses, and really i say, wear what you wanna, even if it looks silly. i’ll still giggle at you if it looks silly but more power to you right?

now my main problem with these pants was that i could not find a top that went with them without me looking like crap, so they kinda got shoved in the inventory to rot until i found the perfect top to go with them.

last week haven designs released these GORGEOUS tops called flourish and i knew right away i’d found the perfect top to my ass pants!

i’m also wearing my new tattoo from garden of ku called ghost geisha which i am in love with and for some reason try to wear with everything now..

recently damien fate started a new part to the loco poco line. devkits! with both personal and business versions of the kits, he has made the loco pocos even more customizable than they already are!

the loco poco that i wear most often is jun, the female rat, and she is wearing the katatonik freebie dress that was set out at the store for st. patricks day. now i’m not sure if this dress is still available, but if it is go grab it! and go buy some of the other dresses as well!. there are many creators adding to the awesome collection of loco poco clothing, hair, and accessories.

Twisted

so welcome to a very twisted edition of the look of the night. yes i know, i was lazy and didn’t blog.. but really i’ve been very busy with other junk in sl so blah.

the twisted hunt is going on this month until the end of march, if you are reading this blog you most likely are into the darker side of sl. i’ve only managed to get to hunt item # 70 but there are 103 in total! and lemmie tell you.. they are HARD to find!

today’s LotN uses 2 pieces from the hunt. #19 Burning Chrome, who’s gift included a very awesome set of HAL eyes which i am wearing. and #24 !Tarnished, who gave a very neat outfit named “mero”.

now i’m not gonna lie, i was not pleased with how the bottom of the mero outfit looked, so i opted to just wear the jacket portion of it with a poofy skirt freebie i nabbed from i-candy. i am a sucker for poofy skirts… but i love the top part of this outfit! it is so cute and i love the chain details around the waist area.

burning chrome offered alot of stuff in their gift for the hunt, but the hal eyes spoke to me immediately because i am a big fan of the 2001, and 2010 movies. that computer scares me to death but i love him.

Black Canary

so i’ve been spending too much time thinking about writing in this blog, and not enough time actually writing. well today i’m going to quit that and actually blog! for my first lotn post in forced midnight, i thought i would bring you one of my favourite new designers.

i first encountered the Black Canary during xmas. lucas had wanted to buy me something from there but i could not decide on an outfit, but i said i would come back. well a while later i was poking around the fashion blogs and noticed a few people had written about the love bound outfit and i was in love!

this suit is unisex and looks great on both men and women. the day i went to buy it the owner was wearing it and he looked dashing. a word of warning for the girls though, if you get this, be ready to fiddle with the collar a bit. especially if you are top heavy *ahem*.
